An independent trust, designed to safeguard prepayments made by you to us and Agents in respect of orders, is now established. The trust arrangements give you added security for your savings. A summary of the declaration of trust can be seen here.
We have had a faultless record for many years and we see this measure as being a very important step in restoring confidence in the Christmas savings industry. We have been working closely with the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) on creating the trust – to ensure customers have this additional protection for their savings.
The trust is operated by three trustees, only one of whom is nominated by us. The remaining two are wholly independent and will be responsible for approving the release of savers' monies held in the trust account.
We believe that the trust gives our Agents and customers the comfort of knowing that they can save with confidence.
CPA Code of Practice
We are a member of the Christmas Prepayment Association (CPA), the recently launched Christmas savings industry trade association.
The CPA is developing a Code of Practice which must be adhered to by its members in order to provide customers with the best possible service and to improve the security of customers' money.
